I was born and raised in Iowa and went to school at Iowa State so I have a lot of friends that still live in my favorite home state! I am always especially touched when a friend makes the drive down to Kansas City so I can capture photos for their family. This one was even more special since I photographed Brad and Kelli's wedding reception last year up in Iowa as well - welcome their beautiful baby to the blog! Book your newborn photos now!
5 years ago today, I gave birth to a tiny baby. She had a head full of dark hair and piercing blue eyes. She liked to snuggle and slept well. Zoe Victoria is now headed off to Kindergarten next year and loves learning, reading and art. She is a little sponge who soaks up everything people say (much to my own chagrin sometimes when I say something crabby or off kilter). She's been the subject of many of my photography projects and is patient and kind with her mama. I love my little tiny baby!
When one of your favorite friends from childhood calls you up and asks if she can bring her family down to KC for a family photo shoot, you quietly do a little happy dance for an excuse to see your friend! In addition, we started discussing a gorgeous new collage wall for her home which we will build up slowly but surely from each of our sessions together (this session was our second!) It warms my heart to see my friends with their happy, healthy babies and the beautiful lives they have built for themselves. So proud to have women like this in my tribe!
This is just one of the cutest lifestyle sessions I've done in a while! The adorable playroom made a fun and festive backdrop for the photos of these two sweet little girls while the designer living room was straight out of a magazine. Maki, you do great things with your eye for design! Book your lifestyle session today!
Baby Vivian turned six months old in April and proved my point that six months old is the best months old! Still my favorite session to photograph - new sitters make for adorable poses and they are still a captive audience. Feast your eyes on six months of goodness!
